Once in a Lifetime trip to Rwanda with WJR

WJR: A Jewish Lifeline WorldwideWJR: World Jewish Relief is leading a mission in October 2009 to visit their Rwanda project and is offering a heavily subsidised place to a young person, familiar with the UK Jewish community, who wants to learn about how they can contribute to WJR’s aim of helping vulnerable communities in need across the world.

The dates of the trip are 15 – 22 October and the successful participant will need to raise £200 towards the costs and arrange their own travel insurance. If you are aged between 21 and 30 and would like to be considered, please say in no more than 500 words why you are the ideal person to join the mission. The closing date for applications is 31 July 2009. A short list of applicants will be invited to attend an interview in August.

The subsidy for this place is being provided by the Ansel Harris Memorial Fund. Ansel Harris was the founding chairman of UKJAID, British Jewry’s disaster relief and international development charity, which merged with WJR in 2005.

For further details about the mission and this particular opportunity to join, please visit the WJR website .
