Could you be a bone marrow donor?
The Anthony Nolan Trust are very keen to get more Jewish donors.

There aren’t enough Jewish donors who are registered as potential bone marrow donors. The tissue types are genetically inherited and often unique to a particular ethnic group.

The Anthony Nolan Trust’s bone marrow donors have already saved 8000 lives over the last 35 years but their register is desperately short of donors from ethnic minority groups.

Common Myths

Myth no.1 “Joining the bone marrow register takes a long time”
Fact: it takes 5 mins to fill in the Anthony Nolan online form , you will receive a saliva kit in the post to return.

Myth no.2 “Donating bone marrow sounds painful”
Fact: 90% of bone marrow donations are performed as an out-patient procedure that is very similar to giving blood( although your own blood gets put back in your arm!). All expenses are fully covered.
