Jeneration's Beit Midrash
This year's Jeneration Beit Midrash team
Jeneration's Beit Midrash: a weekend of tailor-made Jewish learningJeneration's Beit Midrash: a weekend of Jewish learning and textual study in a relaxed atmosphere because real questions deserve straight answers.

What is Jeneration's Beit Midrash?

Jeneration is bringing you the opportunity to study with rabbis from the Reform, Liberal and Masorti movements. Bring real issues and be given compelling and authentic answers.

A relaxed and informal atmosphere will be created within which you will have the opportunity to study in small groups with rabbis.

They will help answer our questions about being Jewish, drawing on the texts of our tradition and their own experiences.

Jeneration's Beit Midrash is for anyone interested in serious learning, wherever you are Jewishly or geographically.

When is it?

The Beit Midrash starts on Friday night 3rd December and finishes on Sunday afternoon 5th December.

How much will it cost?

The price of the weekend is only £40. Included in this is your accommodation and all your food as well as the excellent rabbis and educators' collective knowledge. You will need either to make your own way to the centre or to Longbridge train station.

Where is it?

We will be using the Barnes Close retreat which is set in the Waseley Hills overlooking the Cotswolds. The centre is a 20 minute train journey from Birmingham New Street station.

What will the level of religious observance be like?

As Jeneration's Beit Midrash takes place over Shabbat we aim to allow you to keep Shabbat to your preferred observance. Whilst we hope that you will want to participate in all the activities, none of the services or sessions are compulsory. All the food will be vegetarian with fish; feel free to discuss any particular dietary requirements with us.
