Internship in Social Action and Interfaith Relations
The Board of Deputies of British Jews An internship opportunity to support the growing portfolio of interfaith relations and social action at the Board of Deputies of British Jews.

 

 

 

The intern will:
• Take the lead on some ongoing projects;
• Look at areas for potential growth;
• Read and précis incoming reports;
• Support diary and administrative commitments;
• Improve outreach to and communication with constituent organisations around the country.

The ideal intern will:
• Have previous interest and experience in interfaith relations and/or social action.
• Be able to demonstrate a firm commitment to, and understanding of, the UK Jewish community.
• Have experience in organising events.
• Have a confident and professional phone and personal manner.
• Be able to commit to 2-3 days per week.

There will be a focus on making the internship as suited as possible to the future aspirations of the intern. The intern will report to the Board’s Projects Manager for Interfaith Relations and Social Action, but may support other staff, as appropriate.

Dates of internship: 6 October to 17 December 2010.
Additional details: London travel and lunch expenses paid.
