Hookah in the Sukkah at West London Synagogue

Hookah in the Sukkah : Celebrate Sukkot Bedouin style at West London Synagogue. Enjoy the hookah pipe if that’s your thing, and partake in some delicious Middle Eastern treats, a film screening and some good old fashioned lulav shaking on 25th September.

Supported by Jeneration, the East London Sukkah is a ground-breaking week long installation bridging religion, politics, food and sustainability. For one week only a sukkah will be created at Spitalfields City Farm, a Jewish tradition reinvented as a site of interaction, art and activism.

A week-long programme of meals, talks, discussion, performance and ritual will be curated to take place in the structure from 23rd-29th September.

Moishe House London will host a week long sukkah party with events taking place in their own sukkah. The week will kick off with a fruit-themed fancy dress party on 22nd September followed by their own Hookah in the Sukkah on 23rd September.

Skin of the Leviathon : a night of art, gypsy klezmer jamming, performance poets and storytelling in the sukkah of a small The East London Sukkah historic and beautifully restored synagogue in Stepney, the heart of the old Jewish East End takes place on 27th September.

Bendigamos: Young Sephardim together with SJW Young Jewish Network are holding a Moroccan Friday night dinner in the sukkah on 24th September but places are limited and booking in advance is essential.
