Come and join us at January’s Open Arts Café as we usher in the new decade, embracing the tides of change and testing our powers of prophecy as we explore ‘Futurism: Figments of your Imagination’.
Whether you think Google will take over our world, or your grandchildren will be fluent in Cantonese or actors will be replaced by Avatars… we assure you that our line-up of artists are ten steps ahead. We will explore the absurd, the terrifying, the funny and the surreal as we travel back to the future with our very own Docs to guide us. Prose from… Faye Thomas Interactive Installations from… Kirstin Smith, Shaun May, Pablo Rivera Exhibitions from... Michelle Laing, Andrea Tyrimos
Poetry from our resident poet... James Hogg

West London Synagogue was founded in 1840, the first Reform Synagogue in Britain. Today it is a thriving community of 4,000 men, women and children, maintaining its ethos of Jewish tradition and modernity. Running through our Synagogue is a strong sense of community - some families have been members for three or four generations. Yet that does not mean we live in the past. With our dynamic Rabbinical, professional and lay team, we are pursuing fresh ideas with energy and inspiration. |
