Sponsored night walk through the east end of London. Take part in this unique night time charity walk (10km) through the historic East End of London to raise money for the needy, including Holocaust survivors living in poverty in Israel.
Registration fees: Soup kitchens were common in the East End of London and run by charitable organisations. The Soup kitchen in Brune Street was erected by the Jewish community in 1902 to provide charitable support for Jewish immigrants. Today in 2010 Meir Panim runs in Israel a network of 14 soup kitchens mainly to support new immigrants and Holocaust survivors.
