Kollot is a monthly parallel service. You are invited to this informal monthly minyan which includes, values, and encourages diverse voices. Expect the voice of participation, accessible melodies and spontaneous harmony; the voice of Hebrew spoken, chanted and sung; the voices of all ages with no "shushing"; the voice of the intellect in the D'var Torah (explanation of the Torah portion); the voice of experience, and the voice of learning anew; the voice of the Torah translated, read and sung; the voice of a rabbi... but more voices of lay people; the voice of someone performing a mitzvah for the first time alongside the voice of experience, guiding and encouraging. There is the voice of silence to contemplate. Children are more than welcome to join in but there is also childcare available. Kollot begins at 10.30am and typically ends close to noon. Click to contact Rabbi Laura Janner-Klausner for more details. Find out about other Jewish events in London and across the country |
