Are you looking for a varied job that allows you to share your passion for working with students and Reform Judaism?
About the job
This is a fabulous opportunity to work with Reform and Progressively minded students. This will include working with Reform synagogues, their members on campus and members of RSY-Netzer (16-22 year olds) as well as students who want to get involved with Reform Judaism. Travelling to campuses across the country, you will support students with their own programming and design and deliver inspirational religious, educational, social action and travel events yourself. Building excellent relationships, you will develop and nurture these students to become leaders within their peer networks and within the wider Reform Movement.
You will be experienced at motivating and empowering young people as well as leading Reform or Progressive education programmes and services. You will be able to empathise and support students in challenging situations and be able to react to campus changes quickly. You will be confident at building relationships and working in partnership with others resulting in vibrant networks of young people engaged with Reform Judaism. You will need to have a sound knowledge of Reform Judaism, student affairs, Israel, Jewish life, texts and history. You must be prepared to travel and to work regular evenings and weekends.
