UJS and JSoc

One of the most common comments we hear from parents of reform students is 'JSoc isn't really his/her thing but he/she wants to do something Jewish on campus'.

Jeneration works with UJS and individual JSocs to help make organised Jewish life on campus more inclusive and welcoming to non-orthodox Jews or those who want to attend less regularly.

Each campus is different, so a friend or sibling's experience of Jewish student life on their campus does not necessarily offer an insight into what someone might experience on another campus. In addition, we recognise that the JSoc model of engagement doesn't work for everybody, and our events on campus are driven by organising teams of progressive students who are best placed to make sure that the events they run are responsive to the way that people who grew up in Reform homes relate to their Jewish identity.
