Emma Weleminsky-Smith - Cambridge

Emma is a first year theologian at Selwyn College, Cambridge. She has been involved with RSY-Netzer from an early age and took a gap year with them last year, doing leadership training on Machon, volunteering and learning at the Conservative Yeshiva in Jerusalem.

She is also a big Limmud enthusiast and has just been a madricha on Conference and Fest. She also really loves cooking, tap dancing, singing and musicals.

Emma loves making sure the Egalitarian Minyan runs smoothly and getting involved in the wider JSoc community, and has plans for great events for Jewish students in Cambridge.

Robin Cooke - Cambridge

Robin is in his second year at the University of Cambridge studying Philosophy.  He is a boger of LJY-Netzer and spent many years as a chanich, madrich and rosh tzevet on summer camps, weekend events, leadership seminars and more. He spent his gap year in Israel with Netzer and returned with a renewed fervour for Judaism, becoming a regular on the Limmud volunteers team.

Robin is an expert procrastinator and can usually be found playing Football Manager with his flatmate through the night or sleeping through his lectures during the day.  He enjoys playing pool and shouting at pub quiz machines but despises any reminder that he took the first year of a maths degree.

Robin is also one of two representatives for the Cambridge JSoc’s Egalitarian Minyan, which hosts weekly services as well as socials and learning events.  You can find more at the Cambridge University Jewish Society website or get in touch if you have any questions.

Sarah Grabiner - Oxford

Having started her Reform Jewish journey at nursery school at synagogue, Sarah has been a Jewish-community-keeno for the last 18 years. She is excited to join the Jeneration team as campus rep in Oxford to continue spreading the love, spirituality, happiness, debate and fun that different ways of exploring Judaism can offer.

Sarah is in her first year studying Hebrew at Hertford College, but seems to spend most of her time rigging up lights in theatres, volunteering in soup kitchens with JSoc or being busy with RSY-Netzer; playing the guitar, running leadership training and visiting friends from her Shnat-Netzer gap year.

She is excited to get some egalitarian fun going in Oxford as well as meeting more Jewish students in Oxford looking for different ways to be Jewish on campus. Please be in touch, she can't wait to hear from you!
